What We Believe

The following are the core beliefs of Connection Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

We believe the Bible is God's Holy inspired Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21).

We believe that there is only one God who reveals Himself to us as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 6:3, 45:5, Matthew 28:19, Ephesians 4:6, 1 Timothy 2:5, Revelation 11:15) 

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son, and that He is the only way of salvation. He's God come in the flesh (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, 1 Timothy 3:16).

We believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and that the penalty of sin is death and eternal separation from God. (Romans 3:23, 6:23, 1 Peter 2:24)

We believe that sinful man cannot by any means earn salvation, but must repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved from sin. It's by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that sinners can be forgiven. It's the gift of God. (John 3:16-36, 14:6, Romans 10:8-13, Ephesians 2:8-10, 1 Timothy 1:15)

We believe the mission of the Church is to share the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ with the world, to baptize those who believe  in Christ, to teach them God's Word, and show them how to be a faithful follower of the Lord (Matthew 28:18-20).

We believe in the in the operation of the Spiritual Gifts in the Body of Christ as taught in the Holy Scriptures (Romans 12:3-8, 1 Corinthians 12-14, Ephesians 4:11-16, 1 Peter 4:8-11).

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is one day going to catch up His church to Heaven. We believe that there's going to be tribulation on earth for seven years. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will come back literally and visibly to the earth to rule and reign forever. We believe that there will be a final judgment and eternal separation of the unsaved. We believe that there is a new earth and a new heaven coming and we will be forever with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Corinthians 15:50-58, Revelation 4-22).
