To Be Accepted or Not To Be Acceped

The title of this message is "To be Accepted or Not to be Accepted." The text comes from Genesis 4:1-16. In this message Pastor John Montalvo recounts the story of Cain and Abel, their two different offerings, and their two different outcomes. One of the lessons taught is the importance of faith and obedience in God and His prescribed order of truth not ours. Something else to consider was that the righteous offering ultimately was a shadow of the substance of the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ i.e. His death on the Cross for our sins and resurrection. Salvation is by faith not by works (Ephesians 2:8-10). Also there's the undeniable truth that there are consequences when we do not obey God's way of doing things, but we must remember that He is good, patient, long-suffering, merciful, and gracious toward us.
