This message is about Living Life with Heaven in View, pt.2. The text comes from Colossians 3:8-17. Here the Apostle Paul encourages the Christians at Colossae to conform to the character, conduct, and conversation of the Lord Jesus Christ. He compares and contrasts the old and new life, and uses the analogy of clothing to teach that as God's people we are to take off the sinful deeds of the old man and put on the virtues of Christ. Paul closes this section out by teaching that God's people are to live out the new life. Of course this is the grace work of the Lord in every believer, and the Lord provides the presence of the Holy Spirit, and the power of His Holy Word to assist His people in this life long process called sanctification. Living life with Heaven in view transforms God's people into the image of the Lord Jesus Christ so that they may be of value while here on earth. Blessings.
